Diane Akam

I am a producer, director and editor of corporate, broadcast, web & social media video production.

I have varied experience starting with the technicalities of master control to supervising a team of talented broadcast producers before I started my own production company. With my technical background and ability to perform almost any production role from production manager to writer to editor, I’m able to foresee and navigate around any potential problems that may crop up in production both prior to shoot day and throughout post.

I’m proud of the strong team I’ve assembled. I believe in hiring talented people and working collaboratively to ensure the best possible product.

I have created and taught many camera/lighting courses across Canada and am expanding my business to include training small business employees in still photography & video production for their own social media content.

I also have extensive experience field producing for agencies, PR firms and other production companies. I have had the pleasure of producing a live daily lifestyle television show, and have also directed many lifestyle and medical segments for national broadcasters. One of my favourite assignments was field producing, writing and editing coverage of the Toronto International Film Festival, which lasted 10 years!
