    Internet Videographer/Editor Filmed/edited commercial and promotional videos at digital interactive advertising firm. Man-on-the-street shoots often required excellent production with minimal notice or planning, making the edit that much more challenging. Sensitive nature of work and clients meant extreme discretion, even among interviewees and participants. Edits required excellent musical sensibilities. Sixty second test spot was named “best piece of video to ever come out of this office” by founder.

Handled production budgets, scheduling, travel arrangements, equipment management, and more. Filmed in challenging situations, including while mountain climbing, on horseback, and on motorbike. Conceived of and advocated for the need to move away from VBS brand and create vertical branding outlets Motherboard, Creator's Project, and others, while folding other videos back into the Vice brand. Oversaw the move of video content onto other, co-branded platforms. Other duties included supportive roles in editing, hiring, and legal matters. Quality of work hinged on the ability to maintain good judgement in trying circumstances. Gained intimate knowledge of legal necessities for sale of digital media across platforms, as well as insights into music licensing, advertising, and digital workflow management across multiple parties.

    Film Student Executive Producer Produced, shot, and edited short non-fiction content for air in over 50 million homes. Worked to increase exposure on college campuses, participated in strategy and planning to grow the young network. Production required coordination with supervisors on opposite coasts. Work included solar car road trip documentary Chasing the Light, anarchist-embedded report Lockbox, and short doc Tased and Confused, in which I was shot by a taser on camera.
