I’m looking for an experienced screenwriter to help rework and elevate an existing feature-length screenplay in the psychological drama genre.

The story centers on Alex, a psychiatrist/therapist who has been an absentee father and husband while struggling with personal and professional failures. This project is a rewrite of an existing script, with the goal of deepening the emotional impact, strengthening character development, and increasing overall dramatic tension while preserving the core narrative.

I already have a clear vision for this rewriting pass, including detailed notes on how the story needs to evolve, as well as specific new moments and plot beats I’d like to incorporate.

Scope of Work:

• Refine and enhance dialogue to feel natural and emotionally grounded
• Integrate deeper character development into actions, decisions, and voice
• Increase conflict and dramatic stakes where appropriate
• Streamline the script by reducing unnecessary stage directions
• Execute planned revisions while elevating the overall story

What I’m Looking For:

• Proven experience in feature-length screenwriting (preferably drama/psychological drama)
• Strong understanding of character-driven storytelling
• Ability to collaborate and bring creative input while respecting an existing vision
• Good communication and openness to feedback
