About Franco

Starting out in Sound as a Final Mix Operator in Sound Editing & Design and winning awards in those fields in Italy and South Africa (after getting a Master’s Degree in Music Technology and spending a few years as a Location Sound Recordist), it’s been an interesting start to a creative journey which has since branched off into Screenwriting, Production and Directing; when things get quiet in one area the fire ants have to go somewhere else to learn, contribute and create. With my finger in the Production pie I’ve Produced an award winning Short Film (Death’s (Man)Date : 2014) - winning three awards and going on to screening at multiple film festivals in 2014 and ’15, as well as producing a Music Video for Man As Machine’s Force which won the Best Metal Music Video in South Africa (2015). As a writer it’s been a bit of a struggle to get traction having not won any awards yet, but having scored some honorable mentions and Top Ten listings in Screenwriting competitions.

While I have a good feeling on where I want my life and career to head n the future I also know that for right now, I want to work, learn and contribute to creative expression in whatever ways I can, and as often as I can.
