She cried after having her first customer but a couple of days later it got easier and she used the money on a vacation to the caribbean. Now 20 years later, Bonnie is the mother of three kids and lives in the provinces. She works at a brothel in the countryside of Denmark. She's proud of her profession, hardworking and dutiful. As a result men are lined up in their cars, outside the brothel. But Bonnie is sick and her body is telling her to stop. Even though she tries to protect herself in different ways i.e. by having a fake identity at work - Patricia. Then she's still very much aware of, that her work makes her condition worse. "They say that people like me detaches the head from the body, but I can't do that, my body is a part of who I am" - Bonnie explains. Situated 13 miles from the Kremlin, just on the outskirts of Putin's big showcase of a city, the Svalka is a huge mountain of trash, 17 stories high and stretching for over 2 miles. It is a fenced, walled-in area, heavily guarded by security to keep intruders out. No trespassing and no filming is allowed here, where inside the dump's walls, criminal activity is unchecked. When one enters the Svalka, he becomes a slave employed by the mafia who run the dump's illegal recycling centers. Vodka is a currency here. For most of the people who enter the Svalka, this is their last stop before death, especially when the cold Russian winter storms sweep across this mountain of waste. Now they are to be introduced into the Greenlandic community as role models. Gert, who lives alone and has no family, accepts the assignment with pride. She is idealistic and ambitious and feels passionate about saving Greenland from destitution. The means to this end is to educate and civilize the 16 children in the Danish language and culture, so they can spearhead Greenland's transformation from being a poor hunter society to being an equal part of Denmark. Due to her blind faith in the experiment, Gert underestimates the obvious personal costs to the children.
