Hani Saqr, An independent Filmmaker/Producer
One of the pioneers whom started the independent movement in Cairo, Egypt, 2008.
Hold more than 13 years of Filmmaking experience, recently wrote, directed & Co-Produced his 1st short film in NYC.
Started his career at 2002, as an audio Director/Production Manager at Disney office Cairo, at the year 2006 started to work on Documentaries & TV shows, 2008 started the independent movement to release one of the first independent films in Cairo, Heliopolis-2009.
Moved to Dubai late 2009, to work as producer at MTV Arabia, then joining Imagination Abu Dhabi to work on the big production 'Sea Shadow'
Meanwhile, going back-forth to Cairo to establish his own production house 'Mashrou' the independent filmmakers initiative, to release 'Microphone and Rags & Tatters'
Late 2013 Hani had been moved to NYC, to join some short films as Assistant director, and recently working on his 1st short as screen writer, director & Co-producer.

While a soldier stands on guard and a hotel receptionists disappears in her imaginary life in Paris, a couple is hunting for an apartment, Ibrahim is researching minorities, and Hany is preparing to migrate to Canada.
