Every single one of our contest winners has been signed. Stage 32 has quickly emerged as the leading source for industry executives to uncover new talent! Is this your year to move the needle on your career?
Brent has been working with Norman Lear for nearly a decade as a television, movie and event producer. He launched his career with Lear by producing the Declare Yourself Unofficial Presidential Inaugural Ball in 2009 – cited by many as “the best event at the Inauguration” - hosted by Jessica Alba with performances by Jamie Foxx, Maroon 5 and John Legend, while simultaneously premiering their short film/music video, Born Again American. He is the creator and executive producer of the docu-series, TAIT STAGES (AXS TV, 2013), and has recently produced his first feature film, NORMAN LEAR: JUST ANOTHER VERSION OF YOU (Music Box, 2016) ---- which had its world premiere on opening night of the Sundance Film Festival. Currently, he is co-executive producer of AMERICA DIVIDED (EPIX, 2016) executive produced by Lear, Shonda Rhimes and Common. And he's co-executive producer of the new highly anticipated scripted series ONE DAY AT A TIME (NETFLIX, 2017), starring Justina Machado and Rita Moreno. Miller serves as Head of Production and Development for Lear’s ACT III Productions.
Independent Artist Group (IAG) is the fourth largest talent agency in Los Angeles with offices in Beverly Hills, New York, and Nashville. Clients include Mel Gibson, Gary Oldman, Lily Gladstone, Lindsay Lohan, Hayden Panettiere, Cary Elwes, John Cusack, Lucy Liu, Mickey Rourke, William H. Macy, Justin Long, John Carpenter, and many, many more. They've also packaged movies and television series with virtually every major network and Hollywood studio.
Danny Alexander works in the TV literary department at IAG, working directly with writers such as John Carpenter (Halloween), Derek Kolstad (John Wick) and Mike Le (upcoming Patient Zero with Natalie Dormer and Stanley Tucci). Prior to working at IAG, Danny was at Kaplan Perrone Entertainment where he worked with a wide array of comedy and drama writers.
Prior to joining Anonymous Content, Amar worked for HBO, Sony Pictures, and TV Land. He currently works in the lit management department.
Nick graduated with a BA from the Film and Electronic Arts Program of Bard College in the spring of 2011. Shortly after relocating to Los Angeles, he was inducted into the Writers Guild of America in January of 2014 and sold his first hour-length dramatic script to NBC later that year. Nick is currently the Executive Manager of Development for Hazy Mills Productions as well as a freelance writer on NBC's hit drama Grimm.
Jared Waine currently works for managers Jon Brown and Jeffrey Thal with Ensemble Entertainment, a prominent, boutique literary management/production company with Oscar and Emmy winning writer/director/producer clients. Ensemble represents clients in all stages of their career in film, scripted and unscripted television, and new media. Ensemble’s clients include Ron Underwood (Tremors, City Slickers), James V. Hart (Hook, August Rush, Epic), and Maggie Friedman (showrunner of the CW show No Tomorrow).
Jared started his career working in development for New York-based production company Intrinsic Value Films. After moving to Los Angeles, Jared worked in development for producers Shaun Redick and Ray Mansfield (In the Blood, And So It Goes) and was a key factor in establishing the literary division of talent management company Chome Artists Management. Simultaneously, he read scripts for several production companies including WWE Studios and Hyperion Media Group. He joined Ensemble in 2015, where he works with the existing clients and is always on the lookout for new and exciting voices.
A San Francisco Bay area native, Daniel began his career in unscripted television and quickly fell into the literary world working at Agency for the Performing Arts. After his agency days, he worked with Ellen Pompeo at Calamity Jane Entertainment as her Director of Development. Daniel made his way to Thinkfactory Media in the fall of 2015 where he currently manages scripted programming. Thinkfactory Media’s scripted credits include the upcoming Million Dollar Quarter (CMT), Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge & Michel’le (Lifetime), Hatfields & McCoys (HISTORY) Texas Rising (HISTORY) in addition to several projects in development with broadcast and cable networks. Currently a board member of the HRTS Associates Program, he was recently Co-President of JHRTS for their 2015-2016 term and continues to work with several organizations within Hollywood including the NY Television Festival, Motion Picture Television Fund, Hollywood Stars for a Cause, and many others.
Emmy-winning producer Craig Armstrong co-founded 5X5 Media in 2009. Armstrong and his producing partner, Rick Ringbakk, together create television that celebrates the individual (nerd and hero alike) and motivates viewers to better themselves through entertainment.
Series executive produced by Armstrong and the 5X5 team include the highly successful “King of the Nerds” (TBS), “Wake Up Call” and “The Hero” (both TNT), both with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, “Fashion Star” (NBC) and “Bet on Your Baby” (ABC). In addition, the company is in post-production on a new original gameshow, "Separation Anxiety," hosted by comedian Iliza Shlesinger and airing on TBS in March.
Prior to co-founding 5X5, Armstrong served as an independent unscripted television producer for nearly 10 years, working on series such as the groundbreaking juggernaut “Survivor” (CBS) with Mark Burnett, the smash hits “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” “Supernanny” and “Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution” (all ABC), among many others.
A six-time Emmy Award nominee, in 2010 Armstrong won the award for “Outstanding Reality Series” for “Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution.”
Prior to his unscripted television career, Armstrong spent 10 years working in scripted television and film, producing more than 300 sketch comedy short films for shows including “The Jenny McCarthy Show” (MTV), “Mr. Show with Bob and David” (HBO), and the “VH1 Awards;” as well as numerous music videos for “Weird” Al Yankovic. Armstrong’s film work includes “Jack Frost” (Warner Brothers) with Michael Keaton, “Born on the Fourth of July” (Universal) with Tom Cruise, and Armstrong’s first industry job, Oliver Stone’s “Talk Radio” (Universal).
