Award-winning filmmaker, Jean-Luc Julien, was born in Germany, attained French citizenship and moved to the U.S.A. as an infant. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre (acting/directing) from California State University, Los Angeles. While in L.A. he worked as a director in theatre and film before moving to Munich, Germany. His films have been screened around the world and some of his awards include Best New Filmmaker and the People’s Choice Award. After two decades in Munich he moved to Berlin and continues working in the national and international entertainment industry.
