Justin Mirichii is a strong and versatile screen and stage actor "birthed" in 2008. He has played both hero and villain with great flourish; a recipient of the 2016 “Best Actor Award” for the greatly contested 48 Hour Film Project (Nairobi), and the 2012 Kalasha for “Best Supporting Actor” in a TV Drama. He has been on programs such as Makutano Junction, Lies That Bind, State House and Wrath - currently showing on FOX Life.
Justin has worked with cast and crew from across the globe, notably the Hamburg Media School's Tobias Rosen and Katja Benrath in 2016 on Watu Wote; an emotive film about Muslims who saved their fellow Christian commuters from terrorists on a bus in Garissa, north-eastern Kenya. He played the part of Auma, a mechanic whose life hangs in the balance during the entrapment, alongside Hollywood's Barkhad Abdirahman (Adan) and Faysal Ahmed (lead terrorist).
He has been featured in over five Africa Magic Original Films (AMOF), upwards of ten local series, numerous short films and a host of theatrical productions at the Phoenix Theatre and Alliance Francaise (Nairobi).
A voice-over artist and budding writer, Justin is also a vocalist with a collective album and several fusion singles to his name. He has an eye for photography and plans to soon venture into the more technical production aspects of film and theatre.
