About the job

MIRABAN seeks an illustrator for an interesting professional learning opportunity to work with our Art Director of the Illustration Department and create 40 water-colour illustrations meant to be published in a book for children and show them at MiraBan Art Exhibition running in Italy from July till November 2018.

The Illustrator will undertake the following duties and responsibilities:

• Drawing and painting the illustrations according to company specifications
• Style development: preparing ideas, sketches. After you receive a first approval, then you can start develop the drawings and paint them
• Scan and/ or take high quality pictures to show the progresses when required
• Communicate and work with our Art Director through Skype and/or in person
• Once the painted illustrations are completed, transfer them into digital at HQ and deliver them to the Art Director 

The duration of the internship is 2 months, approximately from mid-April 2018 to mid-June 2018.

MIRABAN provides:

• Regular monitoring of trainee’s progress and satisfaction with the internship
• a certification after the internship completion
• travel expenses paid
• possibility to exhibit your artworks in a series of art exhibitions running in Italy beginning in July 2018 

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

Academic Qualifications

- An undergraduate degree or recently graduate in Fine Arts, Digital Arts, or similar field is required.

Languages

 - Excellent command of written and spoken English Technical competencies    

- Highly perceptive and talented at drawing and painting § Creativity and consistency with style § Excellent eye for colour, proportion and perspective § Professional or project experience in water colour painting

-  2+ Experience in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator

- Must be able to be monitored at distance through Skype Video Call
