A full-time editor and ghostwriter, Danielle is an active member of the Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers of America, the international Horror Writers Association, and the Romance Writers of America Professional Author Network. She founded and and acts as the Training Director for the San Diego HWA Chapter and organizes events at venues such as ComicCon, StokerCon, and WonderCon as well as monthly writing workshops for local writers. She volunteers as a mentor within the HWA to help encourage and promote aspiring writers enhance their craft.
She holds a BA in English from UHM and MA in English and Creative Writing from SNHU. She has published several short stories (Danse Macabre, Silverthought), four anthologies, five novels (2008, 2010, 2013, 2015, 2017), two produced screenplays (Gharial Productions, Krystek Productions and Synthetic Human), and has won several screen and literary awards including two Foreword Book of the Years (2009, 2008), Gold at the California Film Awards (2017), Silver in the International Independent Film Awards (2016), Award of Merit at the New Renaissance Film Festival in London (2016), Hollywood Screenings Film Festival Semi-Finalist (2016), Best Experimental Short at the Chandler International Film Festival (2016), and Best Editing for a Narrative short at the San Diego Film Consortium Film Festival (2017).
Prior to moving to southern California and working in entertainment and publishing, she was the Editor in Chief for a newspaper in Hawaii and worked as an editor and GSI analyst for an environmental and archaeological recovery corporation.
