About Katharina

Non-Union actress, print/commercial model and published writer based in Sarasota, Florida. I work in the Southeastern market mostly. I hold a degree in English with a minor in Classics from the University of Florida with 3 years of acting education in stage and improvisation from the Florida Studio Theatre. My most recent credits in film include a small supporting role in "Sarah Q", a New York-filmed indie by John A. Gallagher, and a lead role in the foreign language short "The Forgotten Hell". While going to acting classes I also started modeling, mostly in print and commercial, with occasional promo work. Some of the clients I've worked for as a model are HSN and Jägermeister. I've also done runway modeling as a petite model. I love modeling, but acting and writing have always been my passion!
I'm originally from Germany and German is my native language. I've worked several years as a translator. Besides acting and modeling, I have also worked in VO (infomercials) and as a marketer and freelance content writer. Two of my short stories have been published and I am working on a short film script as well. I am a huge sci-fi fan, movie fan, and gamer, from which I gather lots of ideas and inspiration for my stories and my acting. I am also a tech-enthusiast and have an interest in robotics, space travel and quantum mechanics, and am working on a science fiction novel that explores these subjects.
