About Kirsta

I am a hard-working Los Angeles to New York and back to Los Angeles transplant. I graduated from NYU with a BFA in theater where I studied at the Stella Adler Studio and the Royal Academy in London. I worked extensively in New York off-Broadway before coming home to LA. Here I have been featured on "The Thundermans", "The Mindy Project", "The Last Ship", and "Bad Judge". I had four auditions to be Mary Louise Parker’s understudy in Heisenberg at the Mark Taper Forum. Lastly, I just closed a production of Theresa Rebeck's play, "Seminar", where I played the lead role of, Kate, to rave reviews.

For five years I was in the very selective Master Scene Study class with Deb Aquila and director, John Hindman, at the Aquila Morong Studio, where Deb has told me that my talent is “staggering” and “inspiring”. And more recently I trained with Marjorie Ballentine at her famous studio.

The last few years I have been focusing on writing. I wrote a short film, "The Pretenders", which I co-produced and acted in, and which was an Official Selection at the LA Shorts Festival. I have three completed feature screenplays, "Fare Forward", "Persuasion", and "The Dark Lady". I have co-written two more features, "Dad Moon", and "Beach Week", as well as a pilot, "Chasing Home". And most recently a short film that I co-wrote, produced, and acted in, "Dis-Abuse", was an Official Selection at the New York Tri-State International Film Festival, The Munich New Wave Film Festival, The Toronto Independent Film Festival, and it was a Finalist at the Roma New Wave Shorts Film Festival.
