I am the founder of Rebel Seed Films & Entertainment, which develops true story projects for film, and publishes nonfiction books that have potential for film or TV adaptation.
Genres include: true-crime/thriller, inspirational biopic, and action/war drama.
I earned my degree in feature film writing from UCLA-E, and completed UCLA Extension's respected independent film producer program. I am a published author, and recently wrote and produced the short action/war drama "Devil Dogs", which premiered at the 2017 GI Film Festival in Washington D.C. during Memorial Day weekend.
Prior to launching Rebel Seed Films & Entertainment, I spent 12 years in finance, including the accounting departments of production companies (film, commericials & music videos), and as the Controller in the Los Angeles office of a global private equity firm, which provides me special insights into financing projects. I then had a second career in special event sales and as a professional ghostwriter and consultant of nonfiction books.
I am also the competition/showcase director for the Film & Script Showcase, which provides opportunities for filmmakers and writers to showcase their projects to an ideal audience, get noticed by industry insiders and development executives, and promote and sell their work.
From 2013 to 2015, I hosted the popular Film Insights podcast and Rebel Seed podcast, where I talked with filmmakers, producers, directors, writers, authors, actors, and film subjects who share their personal stories, insights, and experiences, and interviewed industry insiders and experts about the behind-the-scenes and business aspects of film-making.
Born and raised in Detroit, I am a longtime resident of Los Angeles, and hold dual American and Australian citizenship.
