This is the first day I'm able to take some time and navigate around because I'm new to the site but I wanted to say that I think it's ironic that this thread is all actors looking for roles and how to connect and get on film and all of us that are screenwriters/director/production are over on another page trying to find quality actors ;) If you are truly ready then go find a screenwriter and get as much experience as you can because you love it and it runs through your blood. The more you have to show on a demo reel the better. And I just spoke at an elementary school and had them name a famous athlete and a famous singer then asked them if they thought those people quit practicing because they've made it. K-6 heard that loud and clear so act as often as you can whether you're getting handed a check or not because that is what leads up to the 6 then 7,8+ figure roles. We don't know how much you were paid unless you tell us so give an award winning performance filmed by your best friend if you have to. I would love to be the screenwriter that gave an actor their breakout role. I'm compiling an actor list for my current project now and they aren't ranked by their resume and how many movies they've been in, they're ranked by how they came across on film. Happy networking ;)
