APRIL 16TH GUEST DIRECTOR /// VICTOR CRAVEN Victor recently directed four of Alan Bennett’s ‘Talking Heads’ monologue’s at the Landor Theatre, London and served as assistant director on John Byrne’s ‘The Slab Boys’ at the Bridewell Theatre, London. In addition to directing, Victor works as a motion graphic designer and creates animations for theatre, dance and orchestral concerts. WORKSHOP /// RSVP CYCLES Victor is currently devising a new play (www.newplay2012.com) using a method based on the RSVP cycles developed by Anna and Lawrence Halprin. This method of creative collaboration has been adopted as a starting point for the devising process by many successful practitioners including Robert Lepage. We will play a series of games and exercises that build towards an understanding of the method and end with group improvisations using resources inspired by research and previous New Play 2012 workshops, this cyclical way of working being at the heart of the RSVP process. __________________________________________________________________ REMEMBER to bring any pieces you want to work on in SOLO! -- SOLO is 45 minutes towards the end of class for you to dig in on any new writing projects, upcoming auditions, monologues etc. This is your time! Use it!
