One of the animations that inspired me, or anime for that matter, is Robotech: The Macross Saga. This came on television when I was in elementary school, around 4th grade, I think. You had others on television, like Voltron, Speed Racer, G.I. Joe, Transformers, and He-Man. But this one stood out to me because the stakes were high in just about everything. If you like Battlestar Galactica from 2004, you'll understand why this anime stood out. To this day, I go back and watch it on Crunchyroll again, along with some of the sequels like Macross 2 and Macross Plus, to get going again with my writing.
