Are you looking to get into documentary filmmaking?

Happy Monday! It’s Sydney from the Stage 32 Education team. I wanted to let everyone know about a really great on-demand class with Lisa Vangellow that’s currently part of our Doorbuster sale TODAY!

The class is called Introduction to Documentary Filmmaking: Your Guide From Pre-Production to Post. Over three sessions, Lisa walks you step by step through the documentary process — from choosing the right subject, budgeting, and hiring your crew to editing, post-production, and getting distribution.

Lisa is the Executive Producer of Disney+’s documentary World War Shoe (produced with David Beckham), and she’s also worked on films like Push, Che: Part 2, and Let Me In. She brings a wealth of industry experience and real-world advice that’s incredibly helpful, whether you’re brand new to docs or coming from narrative filmmaking.

The class even includes downloadable resources like a budget template, notice of filming template, and a film funds guide to help you put everything into practice.

Do you have a documentary idea you’ve been thinking about? I’d love to hear about it! Comment below!
