Building a YA Mystery Story Universe for Screen — “Ridbusters”

Hi everyone,

I’m currently developing a YA mystery project called “Ridbusters”, set in London.

What started as a book is now evolving into a screen-focused story universe. I’m working on adapting it into a pilot format, building out a season arc, and shaping the project for potential series development.

The story follows a team of kids who get drawn into investigations far beyond what they expected, with a strong focus on mystery, atmosphere, and character-driven storytelling.

In parallel, I’m exploring an interactive layer where audiences can engage directly with the characters — not as a game mechanic, but as an extension of the narrative world.

My goal is to develop Ridbusters as a scalable IP that can move beyond the page into film/TV and cross-platform storytelling.

I’d love to connect with producers, development professionals, and fellow creators working on similar types of projects.

Happy to share more if anyone is interested.

PaVlo
