Exploring digital storytelling and using video for education media

Hi everyone, I haven't had much time to spend on Stage 32, but I keep sending people over to join because I believe this is a great site to learn about and develop the filmmaking process. I am an educator certified in art and English in Florida, and I am very interested in making education videos that aren't the same boring films that we saw in school. I believe that digital storytelling is an important way to reach students, and to make learning engaging and relevant for them. Therefore, I am looking to get ideas from you about how I can use video to make learning better for my students. Looking for any contacts who are interested in the kinds of film projects I am talking about. I will be finishing my second master's degree in December, and I hope to have some time to work on educational video project after that. My focus is at-risk high school students, so I am not looking for the typical elementary school kinds of things one sees on Sesame Street and similar venues. Looking forward to working with some of you on some projects. Ari Sutton
