About Marc

I’m Marc Martinez, a bilingual filmmaker with a deep passion for storytelling. I’ve had the privilege of studying at the Los Angeles Film School, where I focused on both directing and cinematography, and honed my skills in editing and sound design. My journey in film has allowed me to explore a variety of roles including writing, directing, cinematography, and editing, each of which has enriched my ability to tell compelling stories.

My work on the film “Cold Blows the Wind” was a significant milestone, earning me the “Best Cinematography” award at the Horrorhound Film Festival. I’m also proud of my short film “Still,” which received accolades for “Excellence in Filmmaking” and “Outstanding Achievement.” My first feature film, “50K,” found its audience on platforms like Tubi, Amazon, and Roku, and my latest project, “The Memory in My Heart,” has recently been acquired by Glass House Distribution. It’s set to make its debut at the Cannes film market in 2024, a moment I look forward to with great anticipation.

I am always eager to push the boundaries of traditional filmmaking, experimenting with new techniques such as virtual production with the Unreal game engine. I believe in sharing what I learn, contributing to panel discussions, and engaging in interviews to help others in the industry. This commitment to innovation and education is driven by my belief that there’s always room to grow and improve, and it’s this mindset that I hope defines my contribution to the world of film and media.

Unique traits: Fluent in English and Spanish. Background in IT. Background in music production.
