Marco Melgar was born in Lima, Perú, 1976. He studied cinematography at The University of Lima and drama at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP). He has directed short films, documentaries and theatre plays. In 2003, he won the 1.st Festival of APFACOM for Spiral Time, and in 2006 the 3.rd Competition of audiovisual PUCP for Aura. In 2013, he received a scholarship from CINESCOPE. He directed "Strange Man", the first chapter of the short film serial "Urban Legends" and he was accredited in Ventana Sur – Argentina created by the INCAA and the Marché du Film / Cannes Film Festival for network producer. His feature project “Jaguar Woman” has been selected for the XI coproduction forum of the International Film Festival Guadalajara - México 2015.
