About the meetup
ALBA Method for Emotions is a useful tool for actors to quickly and reliable perform, transition and recover from emotional states. It's also great for Directors and Teachers. Previous participants include people in a range of fields, not just the performing arts: Therapists, Cancer Survivors, Public Speaking Coaches, Life Coaches, and more.
ALBA is an emotional regulation tool; it is a physical approach to emotional awareness, access and control; it is a technical based approach to emotions.
Instructors:
Jessica Beck (CL5, Master Teacher), director and Feldenkrais Practitioner based in London.
Anne Schilling (CL4), Voice Specialist (Fitzmaurice Certified) and Teacher at Southern Methodist University in Texas.
Violette Kjeldgaard (CL3), Acting Instructor & Coach, based in LA.
This particular intensive will integrate some Feldenkrais and Fitzmaurice with the ALBA work.
