About the meetup
Everyone is all over the place doing films, writing, etc... So, I set up the 18th as our 8th meet up choice. If you want to bring someone new with you, please let me know so we get room for everyone. Austin Film Festival was busy this year even though it was storming in Austin. I got to meet R.B. Botto and his staff at the meetup at the Handlebar Saloon. It was so crowded, there was hardly space to turn around on the rooftop. A great time was had by all who attended. (See Pictures below)
" The Front" is about to finish up soon, and "Duty" is about to kick off filming. Checkout the crowdfunding on "Duty". It has a couple of teasers which are a good way to introduce some of the actors and some of the story line. "Fire and Desire" is filming and rehearsing throughout the month. There are still parts being cast in it, so check it out.
Several of us were on many film and series sets this past month. I'll try to post some pics. New stuff is being written and started in our group all the time. Show up and see what we have for you. Join us and start to see what we're doing around Dallas -Ft. Worth. Hope to see you there.
About the group
The first 'Stage 32' actors meet-up group serving Dallas and Ft.Worth actors and crew professionals in the area. Meet-ups with our group will help to find opportunities for our members and further the film industry in and outside of the Metroplex. We will maintain a listing of available talent in our group to support project casting and any emergency last minute film crews. Because how many times have we been on a shoot and ran out of background actors or no-shows? We will also try to share the wisdom of our histories on the set. The group may end up being the go to place for directors and casting agents to cast their projects. Please join us and let's see how big we can become together. We can also be a great opportunity to try that new play you've written or that screenplay which is begging to be produced. DFWART is starting, and if you are looking for a group such as this, please contact us. We will decide what would be the best times and places to have our meets when we get a few interested members.
