TODAY'S PANEL:

How To “Own It” in Hollywood and be BO$$ – an IP Primer Workshop

Presented by WIF and World Woman Foundation

Ever seen a film, TV, show, or book that really upset you because you had thought of it first?

Ever felt like all your efforts to getting your content made were for naught during distribution

negotiations because they got all the rights and your creative vision got lost in the corporate

shuffle? This primer on intellectual property specially designed from feedback from past

HollyShorts festivals will focus on the importance of creating and “owning things” and will

highlight the differences between copyright, trademark, trade secret and patents. Using real

world examples and providing positive solutions, this workshop hopes to bring out the "BOSS"

in everyone..
