About Michael

Based in Los Angeles and Toronto, Canada, Michael has worked as a Film & TV Editor, and Producer since 1997. His previous work includes "The Banana Splits Movie", Warner Brothers' horror re-imagining of the popular 70's kids TV show, and "The Sound", a ghost story set in an abandoned subway station starring Rose McGowan and Christopher Lloyd, released by Orion Pictures and Samuel Goldwyn Films. Michael also edited the prequel to the popular horror franchise, “Cabin Fever: Patient Zero", starring Sean Astin as the carrier of the lethal flesh eating virus; the award-winning comedy-horror, "A Little Bit Zombie", directed by Casey Walker (winner of 15 awards); “Tormented" (aka Berkshire County), the award-winning indie horror (winner of 9 awards, including Grand Jury Prize for Best Horror at 2014 Shriekfest); and “Holiday Joy”, a comedy feature film for Freeform starring Bailee Madison and French Stewart, produced by Myriad Pictures and Revolution Studios. Michael recently finished up work on "She Never Died", the 'sister' sequel to Jason Krawczyk's 2015 cult hit, "He Never Died", written by Jason and directed by Audrey Cummings.

Michael has produced & edited the comedy feature "A Bug and A Bag of Weed", as well as numerous shorts including, the award-winning CFC short "Burgeon and Fade" (TIFF, WWSFF), the bilingual sci-fi short "Les jeux d’enfants" (VIFF), the existential thriller "Regression" (starring Nick Mancuso) and the multi-award winning comedy "Reservations For Three?" (starring Kelly Perine). Michael recently made his short film Directorial Debut with the follow up to Reservations For Three?, "Candice & Peter's Smokin' Hot Date".

A life-long fan of horror, Michael edited "Nightmare in Canada", a feature documentary about the history of horror films in Canada, which won a Gold Remi at WorldFest Houston. In addition, he has edited numerous TV series that have aired on such networks as SyFy & MTV (Scare Tactics), Discovery Channel (Close Encounters), FOX (The Adrenaline Project), and CBC (Fool Canada, Sex Scandals in Religion).

Michael continues to work in film and television, in all genres from drama to documentary to comedy and horror, always in search of another great story to tell.
