About Mugs

AlGrowing up as the middle child in a large Irish Catholic family, Mugs is a born mediator who envisioned her life as either a covert operative or a preschool teacher. She settled on being an award-winning advertising creative director for nearly two decades, until she transitioned to a screenwriting career. Mugs has sold two feature screenplays, both now in pre-production, and has had another screenplay optioned. In addition to co-founding Against Type Films, Mugs is a Stowe Story Labs alum, a Reykjavik Iceland Talent Lab alum, and a writer on the ISA Development Slate. She holds a B.A. in Economics from Trinity University, a post-graduate degree from Musician’s Institute and studied philosophy at Boston College. Mugs lives in L.A. with her wife, where they hold a bi-monthly Fire & Wine salon for female creatives in the industry.

Unique traits: Squirrels eat out of my hand. I play electric bass. Once cycled in the mountains for 7 miles with a nose bleed. Can recite the alphabet sideways (not a joke.) Am studying Irish (the language.) Ask me questions and I'll continue...
