I recently adapted the NAACP Theatre Award winning play Rounds, which is now in pre-production. A proud Stowe Story Lab fellow, I’m also a Sundance YouTube New Voices finalist, as well as finalist for The Writers Lab, Final Draft Big Break and HollyShorts, and I was named an ISA Top Screenwriter to Watch.
The middle child in a large, close-knit Irish Catholic family, I felt early on that I was destined to be either a covert operative or a preschool teacher. So naturally, I combined the skill sets of both to settle into a fulfilling writing career. An award-winning copywriter before concentrating on screenwriting full-time, my clients included NBC, Fox, Sony, Universal and Disney.
I studied philosophy at Boston College and graduated with an Economics degree from Trinity University, which led me to my personal philosophies that a great writer must be a great listener and the value of something is what you make of it.
Unique traits: Squirrels eat out of my hand. I play electric bass. Once cycled in the mountains for 7 miles with a nose bleed. Can recite the alphabet sideways (not a joke.) Am studying Cherokee. I have a litter trained pet rabbit rescued from an on-location site. Ask me questions and I'll continue...
