Pam & Tommy

Music
by Munk Duane
Composer Munk Duane's song "I Am Severed" was featured in the first episode of the new Hulu series "Pam & Tommy". The song's placement on the show happened so fast, Munk was unaware until informed by a fan from Munich, Germany who had seen the premier, before Munk's publishing Heavy Hitters Music even had a chance to notify him directly of the song's inclusion.
"I Am Severed" was an outtake from Munk's second full-length album "Severed", which is out of print. Munk explains, "Severed was a musical lifetime ago. I was in a bad place going through a divorce and my music at that time was reflective of a lot of anger... not who I am today whatsoever. I put that chapter of my life behind me a long time ago and had the release pulled out of retail and off streaming platforms." The songs from that period did, however, stay in the music library they were licensed to, and many years later, this one has re-emerged on the new Hulu show. "I admit it was a kick in the pants to hear this song again after so long. It was almost like listening to someone else."
"Pam & Tommy" chronicles the marriage between actress Pamela Anderson and Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee, played by Lily James and Sebastian Stan, during the period their unauthorized sex tape was made public. Also staring Seth Rogen and Nick Offerman, "Pam & Tommy" is now streaming on Hulu. Watch it.
