Nikhil Kamkolkar is a graduate of the Professional Program for Screenwriting (Feature Film & Television) from UCLA. His first feature film, “Indian Cowboy: A Love-Love Story”, which he wrote and directed is a quirky romantic comedy with a South Asian twist starring the talented Sheetal Sheth (Albert Brook’s “Looking for Comedy in the Muslim World” ), Sundra Oakley (CBS: Survivor) and Deep Katdare from the indie hit comedy “American Desi”.
He is currently in development with his dystopian political thriller project that was recently selected for the Stowe Story Labs in Vermont. He will be attending European Film Market/Berlin Film Festival 2018 in Berlin and is looking forward to meeting film producers, agents & managers, other writers, and actors.
He currently works at Topic Studios/First Look Media (Academy Award winner “Spotlight”, Denzel Washington’s “Roman J. Israel Esq”), and is busy plotting to get his next movie/TV pilot/web series made, and is lives with his wife and three amazing kids in the New York metro area.
