Omar Quesada Pérez

I was born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in October, 1986. I was raised between islands in here, I moved a lot when I was child and I think it helped me to develope an open-mind and such an adaptable character. I studied Journalism in Málaga University, then a I moved to London where I lived for a while working as waiter and several jobs like that. I went back to my island, Gran Canaria, and I studied Audiovisual Realization in there. During that to years I directed a couple of shorts, a TV pilot and TV programmes (all of them as part of the learning) and I started writing my first scripts. And maybe it was in this time that I fell in love with the filmmaking world.
I moved again to Málaga where I founded a little company as an enterprising freelance. I spent three years trying to make it work. I couldnt't. And probabily this is my favourite part. I decided to come back to the island and spend a few years writing all that projects I had set aside in the back of my mind (books and screenplays). So I did. And I've never felt more fullfilled than in this period. Feeling like I've given the very first step in a long way to my goals. Happy, as much as I can keep myself in my way.
