About Pietro

Pietro Cinieri is an Italian filmmaker.

He began his artistic career as a musician, performing live in most of the Italian territory and sharing the stage with bands of the caliber of Boomdabash, Zen Circus and Marlene Kunts. In 2012 he approaches photography and immediately finds himself working as a still photographer on the set of an Apulian web series, which will lead to deepen this sector by starting to work as a photographer and videomaker for events, photo books and music videos.

In 2015, he directed his first zero-budget film, a fan movie on The Crow. The idea was born from wanting to celebrate the talent of O'Barr e
remember Brandon Lee. The film, which premiered at Cartoomics in Milan, is a moderate success among "The Crow" fans, reaching 400,000 views on Youtube in a short time. He has received several official selections and won numerous national and international awards as best director and best fan film. Subsequently he collaborates with various directors and actors of the indie scene for the production of shorts and films.

In 2018 he directed the video clip "Mystical Sound" by Sud Sound System and worked as director of photography in the film "The Carpenter" by Steven Renso and in the film "Dead Star" by David Milesi. He also directs the backstage of several films, sharing the set with Gabriele Esposito (Gomorra), Nicolas Vaporidis (Notte prima degli esami), Alessio Sakara (Pechino Express, Tú sí que vales) and Dolph Lundgren (Rocky IV, Expendables)

In 2019 he collaborates with the South Korean pianist and composer Yiruma for the production of a live video.

In 2020 he directed two new horror short films, one of which was written by the director / screenwriter Giuliano Giacomelli, with the participation of the actress Maria Arismendi. Later he directs the video clip of the song "Il dono dell''ubiquità", extracted from the latest album by Giuseppe Salsetta (ex Amici).
