I am still new to the acting craft and recently I have done some of it and it didn't come out as well as I thought it should is this par for the course or signs of something worse?

hi Brandon , that's quite normal to feel that way , get others to critique your work ( those that you trust and are in the business ) , as actors we always self doubting but are always learning , best thing , be open to good criticism and put it right next time.
