I'm a huge fan of the TV show Face Off -- a competition/elimination series exploring the world of special effects makeup artists. I'm a bit of a traditionalist and an artist myself (although not in makeup) so I'm always thrilled to see craft that is created by hand and not by computer. Of course, I have absolutely nothing against computers. lol! I was just curious to hear what special effects and makeup special effects people think of the show. Here's the web site: http://www.syfy.com/faceoff
I love makeup artist Ve Neill's work. She's a judge on the show. Has anyone here ever worked with her?

Hey Beth, great share. Thanks for posting! I'm super interested in learning more from this community on special effects makeup!

Yeppers, for all seasons
Hi Winter! What do you think of the current season so far? It's interesting that they have brought back three past winners -- Laura, Anthony and Royce (some of my favorites!) -- to coach this season's contestants. I'm curious to see how their presence weighs in. They did divide everyone into teams, but so far it still seems to be very individual...

Honestly this is the kind of reality TV show I really like. Somewhere between Dirty Jobs and The Voice.

This is funny. In my robbing a bank thread, the competition my character is competing in is Face Off. This show is EVERYTHING!

That's hilarious Jean-Pierre! Yeah, I totally agree. These artists are amazing!
If you are in the Seattle area, Crypticon is a horror convention I help with and we have Face Off contestants attend. This year we hope to be bringing two more, but they haven't been announced yet. http://www.crypticonseattle.com

Hi Jas! Thanks for the information about Crypticon. I'll definitely check it out. I'm over on Bainbridge Island... Seattle is just a ferry boat ride away. :)
