I think my logline might be a bit sh*t. (I really like it though). We someone give me advice about how to make it better? Suggestions? (Note: I do like the expression "beauty underdog"...but it confuses some pff)

@Sam...that sounds better yet so simple. @Lynn...she is obviously Black. The script is in the vein on Bridget Jones's Diary. So the protagonist is a right mess! Lol. The Ritz staff confuses her because of her name and being British and PC wouldnt dare comment or note her skin colour. They confuse her with another black Royal, Leichtebstein princess...so think or assume all royalty are marrying blacks so it becomes plausible. Mark Darcy from Pride and Prejudice is the celebrity in this version....and he of course knows she couldnt be but pplays along for a while because of her spirit. Also Mark is used to people pretending . Since his wife died, Elizabeth Bennet, also from Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, he wants comfort naturally and says his wife focussed so much of her time writing great romances and not living them. Hope that helps...am using my smartphone for this reply.
@Lynn - if she is a contender for the affections of an A-List celebrity being a nobody...with no fashion style makes her an underdog. She shouldn't have a chance in hell to even MEET Mark Darcy...but (LISTEN LISA- this is not about American'ts and their knowledge of royalty, though most Americans love the British royal family) WHEN the protagonist (who is Black American) leaves New York bound for the UK to meet, and marry Mark....the ONLY way she manages to make this happen is through a case of mistaken identity. The White People at the Ritz KNOW OF ROYALTY....and have heard of the name Habsburg (Austrian Royal family) since they are European. Therefore, it is plausible, they think SHE TOO is a REAL member as no one would have such a name. Her name in fact is Hapsburg. So when they ask her if she is s member of the royal house of Austria....she didn't deny it. So they gave her a VIP suite at the Ritz thinking she was one of their children (e.g. like the King of Monaco..has a mixed race child from a Black woman who now lives in London)... Remember it is a COMEDY....(and funny as well har har)...so think Wedding Crashers stupid....Grand Bupadest Hotel comedy peeps! :-) @Lisa...makes a bit more sense? hehe
