Alessandro Fantini's venture on Stage32

Hello Stage 32 new and old members I joined Stage 32 few years ago and since then I've managed to get in touch with several passionate people with whom sharing my visions and projects through my own trailers, concept art, screenplays, storyboards and soundtracks. Exactly one year ago I started working on what would become my first American movie that quickly attracted the attention of many Stage 32 actors and filmmakers. Indeed it was here on Stage 32 that I've laid the foundations of "New York, a venture" thanks to the connection with filmmaker Karen Goldfarb and the american actor Craig Williams, who accepted to play the lead role and introduced me to Kyrie Vickers who played the female protagonist. Despite the lack of a large budget and a film production support I was able to wrap up my daring vision in a few months by mainly investing in my own creative stubborness and in the actors determination to join it. The icing on the cake has been meeting Willem Dafoe in the Greenwich Village during the shooting (I've invited him to play a small cameo in the movie but he was too much busy at that time). So far I've submitted the movie to Tribeca Film Festival, Chicago Supernatural film festival and Vegas Indie Film Festival, and obviously I'm still looking for more public venues to screen it to the widest possible audicence, hopefully a way to find more and more people willing to be part of my own artistic "venture" for producing new movies in the very near future. I'm also a storyboard and concept artist so I'm always available for collaborations, even though I cannot allow myself to work just for credit after some disappointing experiences here on Stage32 with people asking concept art for videos who signed deals that they didn't respect. You can check out the featurette and all the trailers edited so far on my own Youtube and Vimeo channels. To me making art means planting the seed of the invisible into the soil of reality. The greatest reward is to watch the plant growing before my eyes and taking shape between my fingers. That's even truer when it comes to filmmaking. When I filmed in Rome and in Tokyo "Nepente" and "EDOnism", the first two movies of the "City trilogy", I followed the hidden paths of my own unreal memories, until I realized their roots were already planted in the history and culture of those cities. So where else could I set up my imaginary story if not in the central memory of the world? Indeed New York is an ever-mutating puzzle of memories composed by buildings, monuments, parks and endless streams of people coming from all over the planet. Any imaginary venture starting in New York ends up to be a real adventure between reality and dream. Memories are like colors, and sound can be the language of truth in the darkness of life. That's what Amy and Adam will learn after coming back to New York by recalling the colored sounds of their forgotten childhood among the flames of Vision. A Vision deep and mysterious as the soul of a whole city. http://youtu.be/KTVtFTZ5mV0 http://youtu.be/uScPIJ6iQcA http://youtu.be/-He1FCRrauA
