Is a stakes available for author in production company?

Dear Colleagues, As the author of my TV series project (creative producer / writer) I start to negotiate with production companies that are affiliated with broadcasters. What is the practice in the business regulation between me (the author) and a exec.producer who wants to run my project, at least produce the pilot episode. Do I have a grounds get a stake in the production company being author? What is there the percent ranges exist?

I'm not certain that I'm understanding your question completely. You're not entitled to a stake in their production company. You're only entitled to a fee on the show itself. As the Author of the source material, you're potentially entitled to an option fee, a purchase price, a per episode fee, and perhaps a piece of backend participation.
