Hi all. I'm helping friends practice for some upcoming television pitches (hour-long drama). My job is to play an exec and ask them hard-hitting questions. I obviously have some ideas, but since I haven't been in on too many pitches myself, I thought it would also be good to ask for advice. If you received any really hard hitting questions in a pitch that threw you for a loop (and could be generalized for another project), please let me know.

Be prepared for "Not interested", what else do you have?
We went to pitch fest (inktip) a number of years back and the one thing that I noticed is there were quite a number of people that had only one thing to pitch. What happens if the producer is not interested in what you currently have. Always be prepared by having other stuff that you can pitch.
Rodney - that's perfect! Of course. I should have thought of that already, but it wasn't on my list.
The other thing writers should consider is having more than one genera of material (especially at pitchfests) because your likelihood of success goes up if you are pitching a genera that does not have many other authors competing in it.
