so I was wondering is there any auditions that pay for travel because there isn't any auditions in or near my area that fit my criteria. I need some advice, I'm new to this site and im trying to figure it out
I think you'll have to travel on your own dime. If you pay for everything you can on your charge card, you can amass points that help with travel. Just remember to pay it off every month :)
I'm a screenwriter and I'm looking for actors for my current project. I can tell you that with so much being online it's great to be able to request a resume and a demo reel from actors interested in my projects. This way I can tell without leaving my desk whether or not I want to spend any longer with that actor. Everyone is busy and everyone is on the internet. If you're good enough I believe that you can at a minimum get on a call back list for final auditions instead of spending money to stand in line to be told 'No' in the first 5 minutes. Also, just because you have an amazing demo reel doesn't mean you'll fit the role I'm looking for. I'd rather watch a YouTube video of you running MY lines for the specific character I'm looking for than watch something not relevant to my project. If an actor is good enough to peek an interest for a lead role then a plane ticket is not going to be an issue in the end. Hope this helps! And I do have a job posted and will be posting more soon so see if there's anything you like and you your camera out ;)
