So I'm going to reintroduce myself and hopefully make some new connections in the process...please pardon my shameless self promotion, lol. Unless you're professional fighter, caught any of my fights, or have caught me doing theater or comedy shows in NYC, it's likely you don't know me from Adam...good, now that we've gotten that out of the way, lol.... My name is Lamont Bellsarios and I am a filmmaker living in Upstate, NY and founder/Managing Partner at Jiang Hu Cinema. I've been an entertainer for well over 20 years. I've had an incredibly successful global MMA career, an accomplished stint as a touring musician, I've gained modest success as a standup comedian and over the past few years I've been hard at work building a substantial foundation as a filmmaker. Currently I am trying to connect with as many industry people across the globe and get them interested in what is, the greatest thing I have ever created. I have spent the past few years developing a script for my first feature length film, which will actually be the tentpole film for what will potentially be a franchise, with a minimum of 2 more films planned over the next few years. The story and characters are incredible, and will redefine the state of action films, much the way that The Raid films did in Indonesia, the films of Donnie Yen have done in the past several years in China and the way that the films of Takashi Miike did in Japan. What I have in the works is on a whole different level. I am confident that this is the project will easily take things to the global level. I am in talks with a few different financiers and we have a ton of talent attached to the project, who are relatively unknown, but masters of what they do and each with a pretty sizable respective online following. This was all based just on my script and pitch, so I figure if I accomplished all that outside of Stage 32, imagine what I could accomplish after connecting with the right people here! Thank you Anne and Derrick, I am hoping to get the ball rolling on this within the next few months and hopefully I can create something that you'll really enjoy. Anne, my old band used to play out on the strip in Fredonia, and a bunch of my friends graduated from the theater and music programs there, those kids are nuts, lol! Incidentally I am going to be shooting my film entirely in Buffalo. Aside from now having the highest film tax credit in the country available here, the city itself plays a central character in the script. There's some serious architecture here, and a ton of history.
