I'm writing a 3 to 5 page short so I can try out this new animating and game making software I purchased and training on. I'm using it to make animated film productions. It's got a steep learning curve so it should take about a year before I become intermediate.

Hi Ric. I did the same thing about 11years ago, though I was applying it to sci-fi, was working with little to no money and bought 3D Toolkit; a derivative of the Electric Image Animation System with restrictions. Then I splurged (at least in my view) and bought the full package for EIAS, and then Silo for modelling. A lot of growing pains in the years since then. In fact, I was watching tutorials as refreshers while making my sci-fi feature. I think things turned out pretty well.
Really, I'd like to see your work.
I don't do anything fancy, but I've found generating computer art to be extremely useful. I basically use it somewhere in all my projects. VFX Rules! Keep at it, and keep me posted on your results. Contact me directly at cgmasi@cgmasi.com Maybe I can use you later.
