Just hire a screenwriter to write it for you. Or take years mastering the art of screenwriting, your choice. But after that, whether it will sell or not is up to the story.

Agree to Jean-Pierre. Adapting a novel to a movie needs experience. I can tell, I just adapted a book. Plus, the screenwriter must like your story and the genre. It does not work without love for what you do. But, if it will really become a film is - as Jean-Pierre said - up to the story.

Copy a script. Print lets say Seven and copy the first 15-20 pages or more. You'll teach yourself how to write a script

I adapted my favorite novel into a screenplay and really enjoyed it. If you're serious about adapting it yourself, start learning as much as you can about writing a script. As Vince said, reading existing scripts will help you get a feel for the style, but for formatting I would recommend you read Screenwriter's Bible. Any questions you have along the way can be answered here, by your S32 community.:)
Thanks , Where I can find this book" Screenwriters bible"?

Try your own conversion.....you might like it. With today's screenwriting software writing a script is a breeze, especially after putting out a complete novel. Still, writing a script that sells may not be as simple as it sounds. P.S. The screenwriters bible is an excellent investment.

Takes a little more than just reading a wonderful book. Few ways to do it: Partner up with screenwriter, who has the ropes in your genre, or study best screenwriting methods while writing your script at number one online screenwriting course: www.screenwritingu.com. To your success!

Usually how this works is the book makes the rounds of producers when it's in galleys and they buy the film rights. Then they hire a screenwriter to adapt it. I've been hired to adapt a NYT best seller, and turned down all kinds of books including ANGELS & DEMONS and the sequel to MAN ON FIRE (he doesn't die in the book).
