Introduce Yourself : Hello and thanks for joining me! by Craig McArthur

Hi, my name is Craig McArthur, I am a 34 year old Electrician who is currently studying a Bachelor of Arts Professional Writing Degree at University Centre Grimsby. I have been in the electrical industry for 17 years now and I'm ready to move on. I hope to get into teaching at primary school level as well as sell my stories/scripts. I love stories and like nothing better than creating worlds with my imagination, currently I have several projects on the go and they all link into the same universe while standing alone also. Each story/script is in a different genre, format. So for example, 'Lost Angel of New Harbour' is a short movie script while 'Frequency Bridge' is a novel that I am writing, this also acts as a sequel. I also try and and experiment with the style, for example 'Cannon Fodder' is a dark comedy 90 minute movie about an old cinema and acts as a sequel to 'Frequency Bridge'. I have then taken a side step and written a short 4000+ word story called the 'Doorway Man' which follows a contractor/ trades person as they set about restoring the old cinema, this has been written as a Ghost story with a twist. For as long as I can remember I have always been passionate about creative writing and hope to share my worlds with others. So far I have had three short stories published in an ex-Patriot magazine in Spain called Tickled Squirrel (it's a start). The stories go by the names of 'Reflection on the Hidden Doorway', it's sequel 'Reflection of the Son' and a shorter version of 'The Doorway Man'. Unfortunately the fourth story 'Message in a Bottle' was rejected and so I resigned my position as SciFi writer for the magazine, instead I rewrote it as a 30 minute Radio play for a University Assignment and have since received positive feedback
