I am happy to join this network, collaborate on the projects, share the experience and maybe help some of you to navigate through this tough and I would say cut throat business. I worked very successfully in the film business for 20 plus years mostly as a distributor for the Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union countries. Got involved in a lot of dealing and wheeling, presales, buying from the independent producers, working with the biggest exibitors internationally as well as with the video and tv networks. I have to say it was a very exiting and Rewarding time. That is my background and the last chapter. Presently I am producing feature films. That is my new passion. And that transition is very natural to me. Of course I know the back of this deal!!!! But what I am finding in my particular situation despite my very poverful connections with big time producers, and financiers and etc I am in the new ride, new boat and again I have to prove myself to the world as a producer. That's how it works in this "easy" business. A lot of money involved and there is no room for mistakes and nobody is willing to take that risk. They are all friends, they are all want to work with me in my new endure but ... they all want to wait and see that I can deliver it. Again? Yeb!! I understand what is at stake and I except it. That's the rule of this new game. I have 5 projects in the pipe line ranging from under 1 million to 15 million at the different level of development and one of them already in pre-production with a new director and a new friend. We both put our own skin in this exiting neo noir thriller, then I pull more money, made a couple of calls to my connections in the distribution world who made some referrals on my behalf and voila I have a solid team which is willing to work with me on this very little for their level of expertise project and helped me to grow to the level where I want to be. So that miracle just happened and I got very lucky to have them. The reason I got on this site is that in this business you never know who is going to get on board and I learned that I don't need to dismiss anybody. Today you might be nobody but tomorrow is another day and things might change. Or you might know somebody who can help me to battle this hill. And this film business is all about relationship, who you know and who knows you. Anyway we are all here to collaborate and share. And another piece of advice - before asking for favors always ask yourself how can you help first, what value you are bringing to the table. If I'll take on somebody's project or a script I don't want to start from scratch and start developing. It takes years!!!! It should be something for me to work with to create a package - a piece of equity in order to make a valuable attachment or attachment itself - bankable lead (cast) which is a commodity itself. So let's talk and see if we can work together. Your move!

Hi Vitaly, I'm new in this film and movie business and Stage 32 network. So, I don't know how or what I can do to help you with your projects. But anyway, I have a book published by Random House in the UK, US and Italy. I would be very excited to find a chance or some producers to make a movie out of it.

Hey Juliette, Re: help All producers are looking for : 1. money 2. Connection to the talent or name director 3. Distribution routes As I said in my introductory part , the way I work and consider to take on the project is to have something besides a book and script. I will try to explain it in very short sentences. In order to make it to the script I need to see if your story makes a sense for the screen first, then hire a writer, sometimes I go through the series of writers in order to deliver it the way the production team wants it, get some coverage, then my LP should come up with the budget that makes sense for the market and probably after that another re-write and so on.... Development takes time and money. Can you help with the development cost? Or maybe you know someone who would help to finance your dream? Dig through your connections - friends, family, maybe you know name director, actor, and see if you get them exited about you and your book first. Without that piece of equity in place your book probably end up on the shelf. I try to be realistic and not offering you a pie in the sky.
