Introduce Yourself : Single-minded by Bill Hicks

I've been writing for print for about 16 years now. I joined Stage 32 because I decided I wanted to do all I could to pursue screenwriting as a career. I've written a number of different scripts in different genres as a hobby over the years but decided not long ago that it's the only thing I love to do. I'm a sports writer. I like that. I do photography for work. I like that. I do page design and layout with CS. I like that. But I don't love it. I love screenwriting. So here I am, with a single objective, a single goal and a single purpose. I know everyone else has various things they are involved with – art, photography, graphic design, acting, etc. – and I wish you the best in each of your endeavors. As for my biggest strength, it's relentlessness. One of my favorite inspirations is a Native American proverb: In the struggle between the rock and the stream, the stream always wins; not through strength, but through persistence. So whatever your goals, be persistent. Anyhow, that's me introducing myself.
