My@Jackie... my man! The loglines on my page aren't perfect, but all have been posted on S32 for serious beatdowns by the network. For starters, know there are many formulas for loglines! If you like mine, hit me up, I'll share my techniques for writing a solid logline.
A good "how to" I found on putting together loglines and query letters is the free guide on the scriptmailer.com website (can download it from bottom of home page but takes a couple seconds to load). Focus, however, should be on grabbing the readers attention in the fastest way possible.
A simple formula is: WHEN, the inciting incident happens, A SPECIFIC PROTAG, your flawed lead, MUST, the objective, OR ELSE, the stakes. Try your components in that equation, see what you come up with
On blcklst.com you can see the loglines for all scripts. it also has some good search features, so you can see loglines for the top scripts, sort by genre, etc.

Thanks. There's another post about situation/character driven story vs. plot driven story, that one is here: http://www.theafw.com/blog/the-logline-or-contortions-of-the-modern-scre...

www.wildsoundfestival.com I've won their contest a number of times, have four listed log lines. Here is a link to one. It is a feature length written with a co-writer Cesar De La Torre and he is also the attached talent. Check him out www.cesardelarorre.com should lead you to his IMDb page.... http://www.wildsoundfestival.com/beauty_a_beautiful_face_by_frank_floyd....
I love it when confident people post!
