I am a twice RTS award winning sound designer, dialogue editor and dubbing mixer who therefore also does location recording to achieve the results required in post. It still amazes me after all these years how a film can be taken to a new level with a good dialogue edit. Scenes suddenly work, actors' performances are suddenly believable, everything flows, the pictures look better (honest!), the edits make sense, the director smiles, the producer relaxes...
