If anyone would be so kind as to post an example of a GOOD query letter, and explain to me how these things work and why or if I should bother to do one, the floor is yours! I'm all ears! Thanks in advance!!

This site is very pro - query letter and breaks down the structure - http://bit.ly/21enQdu This post makes a case against them - http://bit.ly/1QClK25 I've had writing mentors tell me that sending query letters is imperative for authors, but pointless for screenwriters, but perhaps there are folks on here who have benefited from sending them.
