Funding Series (Web)

Hi - I'm Shanice the Executive Producer and Screenwriter of a new Series called VIRU https://youtu.be/vdc6mdOv9I8 I am independently financing this project on my own, which is really difficult. I tried the crowdfunding thing last year and failed although I didn't have a pilot episode then. In reality in order to reach a certain goal using crowdfunding, popularity plays huge part. I recently started attending networking events and I've met a few people. My question is other than having a full time job, crowdfunding and obvious hard ways to getting funds for a project, what are other ways to get someone to invest in your project?

Shanice… getting funding is done in a variety of ways. You can save the money, do parties, ask people to come on as financing producers. The money is there… You have to create the SUPER FANS (1,000 fans X $100 = $100,000) You have to network with your film/art to create fans who will support you no matter what you do. Your market (fan) is someone who likes the kind of films/art you make. Filmmakers don't normally support other filmmakers because they are busy trying to figure out the same problem you have… How to get to the money! So your super fan will be a retail clerk, executive assistant, teacher, bus driver… Anyone who seeks out your film for entertainment and have the income to do so. So create atmospheres/websites/vlog and blogs to gain these kinds of people as a fan base. I'm a filmmaker and I am learning how to get the money just as you are. People don't invest in films, People invest in People!

Deri, that is some great advice! Right now, I'm trying to build that audience and supporters. I'm engaging on Facebook, Twitter, Stage 32, etc. Any advice on other platforms or ways to Network?
