Good afternoon, My name is Donald P.H. Eaton. I was born in Boston on October 23, 1945. I entered Marlboro College in 1966 from which I graduated with High Honors three years later with a degree in Classics, Greek and Latin. After living in Asia for five years, I returned to the States and entered Brooks Institute of Photography, leaving two years later after consistently receiving Highest Honors, to go to Los Angeles, California. Competing with over 3,000 applicants, I was selected for one of eleven positions in the Directors Guild of America Training Program. Upon completion of my two years as an apprentice, I was admitted to the Guild as a full member and have worked in the industry ever since. In 1981, I worked as DGA trainee / 2nd Asst. Director on the TV series HART TO HART. In 1983, I began writing for the series and sold several teleplays to RONA II productions. Over twenty-five years, I have worked on numerous MOW’s, Features and Mini-series as First Asst. Director. I was First Asst. Director on: SALLY HEMINGS, An American Scandal; SCARLETT and GODS and GENERALS to name a few. My IMDb resumé contains over 100 titles. Although still semi-active in film production, in 2007 I turned my attention to writing, novels and screenplays. In 2009, my novel, THE LITTLE STREET – A Story of Love and Art, about the early apprenticeship of Ioannes Vermeer, won a Commendation in the Novel category - Yeovil Literary Prize – UK “Congratulations. It was excellent. Thanks for entering.” Margaret Graham, Writer in Residence. In 2011, I wrote the complete set of thirteen screenplays for the proposed cable mini-series SHERMAN – The Final March, as well as four companion novels, TILL THEY BEG FOR MERCY and A CATHEDRAL IN HELL, DESPERATE BATTLE and UNION. Recently I have completed a screenplay called THE FETCH, about a man haunted by his ghost and the companion screenplay called THE PSYCHE which expands on the story. Both are psychological / thriller movies which I will be pitching to the folks in L.A. very shortly. I currently live in Oregon with his wife, Darcey. My two children are both in college: Nathan going to graduate school in the fall and Annie-Rose, a sophomore at Oregon State University.
