I've always written the synopses for my scripts like they were the back cover of a novel or DVD. I introduce my characters, their situation and the problems they will face as the story unfolds. I try to present all these elements in such a manner that the reader is left wanting to know what happens next. But I have seen other synopses that also include how the story is concluded. What is the industry standard for a synopsis, do you have to have the conclusion in it or do leave the reader wanting more?
Every pro synopsis I read has the ending
I think you're right but I"ve always included the ending in my treatments. So what's the difference between a synopsis and a treatment?
